Weston “Tony” Howland III serves as the Chairman & CEO of Howland Capital as well as a portfolio manager. Tony focuses on multigenerational family wealth planning and investment management which include portfolio development, asset protection, estate and retirement planning.
Tony joined Howland Capital in 1984, after working for C.T. Bowring, Lloyds of London, and Atlantic Mutual Insurance. Tony graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation. He is a member of the CFA Society Boston.
Tony serves on the boards of the Social Innovation Forum, YouthConnect, Lincoln Land Conservation Trust and the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences. He is a former trustee of a number of private schools including Fenn School and prior to that, Dana Hall School and Meadowbrook School, where he was Chairman of the Board. He is also the President of Board of Trustees for The Devonshire Foundation.
Tony and his wife, Sue, reside in Lincoln and have three adult children. Sue is a talented artist and together they enjoy pursuing outdoor activities including fishing, horseback riding, sailing and skiing. Tony is also an avid beekeeper.
